One Day Till Take Off
and a whole lot of travel…
Well… technically I take off today, but my mom took these pics yesterday. I left New York yesterday as my mom put me on the train to Boston where I met Izzy so that we can fly out together! In fact, she almost didn’t make it off the train, jumping out of the doors as they were closing. The ride went fast and I hopped on the T at South Station to get to Cambridge where Izzy picked me up. We were starving so we went out to a cute Nepalese place for dinner and met up with her friend from home, Bronte, and her friend from Columbia, Elsie, who are also going on our program. Bronte and Elsie are going to be in my core class as well which is exciting! We ordered mo mos and some VERY spicy curry. I, being the competitive person I am, had to order the spiciest level food out of everyone (7/10), and my mouth paid the price. The food was still delicious, I just had to stay very hydrated!
It’s nice to know a few people before going, and luckily they are on our flight as well. After dinner we hung out and watched the Office (what else), and finalized our packing.
This morning we walked into town to stretch our legs and get some pastries which was nice even though it was FREEZING. I know that when I’m on the plane in a few hours I’ll wish i was still out in the cold walking around. Now we just wait to go to the airport…
