Exploring Nørrebro

First full day in Copenhagen down! I’m living in a really cute neighborhood called Nørrebro in northern Copenhagen. It’s filled with cool coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and very important: cheap, delicious shawarma. The grocery store is only a few steps away as well which is really great for daily food runs which will hopefully get more efficient as i stop having to google translate literally every label i see.

We went out on a neighborhood challenge scavanger hunt as an apartment against the other apartments in our building. My housemates are Zach, Sam, Lauren (my roommate), Mia, and Grace, and we all get along really well. We bussed and walked all over Nørrebro and the rest of the city checking off our different tasks to win a 500dkr gift card to this super famous bakery. In the afternoon, I made a solo excursion to Ikea to meet Izzy and her roommates which ended up being an hour long ordeal, but I made out okay. Afterwards Izzy and I went out to dinner with another girl, Caroline, and had a really nice time. We walked around the city center a bit before I took the bus home only to find Zach, Mia, Grace, and Rianna on their way home as well! Zach bought a couch at Ikea for our kitchen which I find hilarious. Its super cute though, very hygge. Unfortunately I have been feeling super sick today with a sore throat and headache, but I’m hoping enough water and tea with honey will have me feeling better by the first day of classes on Thursday!
