Hello.

Welcome!

When in doubt, dis oui!

When in doubt, dis oui!

What a whirlwind of a weekend!

Izzy and I left Copenhagen at 4 on Friday after classes for a ~romantic~ getaway in Paris! Even though the flight was PAINFUL because of the uber loud very rude gaggle of drunken men in front of us, we arrived in one piece and embarked on an exciting and rather complicated public transportation adventure to our airbnb in the 7th arrondissement. Primo location! We were only a 5 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and the Seine, and tons of cute cafes.

The first night we tried out a wine bar on the recommendation of Dani’s (our best friend) mom and it was amazing. Wine, bread, cheese (so much cheese), roasted cauliflower that was somehow delicious beyond belief, and life-changing pasta with truffle and parmesan. You will learn of my love for truffle undoubtedly. After we took a loooooong walk home past the Louvre which was beautiful and lit up and peaceful at night. Good to walk off all that bread too!

We of course stopped at the only corner shop that was open that we could find (ok fine we google mapped it and walked 10 minutes out of the way for it) to pick up some chocolate and madeleines for dessert. So worth it, no regrets.

In the morning, we grabbed a quick petit déjeuner (majorly needed some espresso) and set off for the longest photoshoot in front of the Eiffel Tower there ever was. We got some grand shots though! I even got to show off some spanish by asking two girls two take a picture of both Izzy and I.

After the tower we set off to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées and got caught up in the protests which required an additional mile of walking around in a desperate attempt to get to the Tuileries gardens which we eventually made it to only to get trapped inside as the protests FOLLOWED US. This of course called for wine in coffee cups and peanut m&ms. Once we finally got out, we walked along the Seine again, past the Musée d’Orsay, into a Ladurée (because i absolutely needed macaron), and to another cafe because we, particulary I, were getting hangry and needed some wine and a croque monsieur.

Afterwards, we meandered to the Luxembourg gardens and back on home to take a fat nap before going to a local hole in the wall burger joint for dinner! After dinner we drank some corner store wine and walked over to say au revoir to our friend le tour eiffel before going home to eat MORE chocolate and then zonking out.

Today we had another public transportation adventure back to the airport and enjoyed a lovely brunch whilst waiting for our flight home where we were accompanied by the same loud drunk men from the first flight. How sweet of them to come back! Unfortunately we were greeted by rain, freezing weather, and a mountain of homework but at least I still have my memories of wine and cheese to keep me warm. Oh and the calories burned from 31,000 steps and 13.6 miles of walking around Paris yesterday. Oui Oui! Scroll for the best pics

Overall, Paris was amazing, but I can never leave Rianna again. It hurt too much.
